Mzoli's place is a famous butchery and restaurant, beloved  by Cape Town out going students. Students from various campuses meet there on weekends to enjoy themselves with delicious meat and drinks. Moreover people from different ethnic groups meet and enjoy themselves without segregating each other.

Mzoli's place is situated in the heart of Gugulethu, on the outskirts of Cape Town. It was established 2005 and is the most visited place in the area. Being an international student you are also encouraged to visit the place so to understand the people of South Africa and their culture. However, Mzoli's place is one of the places that promotes drug abuse, crime and perpetuate the spread of HIV in Cape Town. Some students go there to drink alcohol and further mix with wrong people who then introduce them to other drugs like cocaine, heroin and so on, and once drunk may result in unprotected sex with their partners which then put them at rick of HIV.

Considering that today is a generation of party people, Mzoli's place is therefore seen as the place to be in Cape Town. It will continue to embrace fame and popularity for the next decade, due to its culture of embracing socialism.

The reason for Africa’s poverty

"young girl from school"
http://www.google.co.za/imgres?
The reason for Africa’s poverty lies in its history and the mindset which this has created both inside and outside its borders. For 3 centuries, the continent was emptied of millions of its strongest people, captured to work as slaves overseas in order to develop other economies. This had the arguable effect of delaying the establishment of economical, political and social structures that might have been comparable with those found elsewhere in the world.

The abolition of slavery opened the door to colonialism, which, while in one sense only a different form of slavery, did bring much-needed benefits such as industrial development, better education and access to medical care. However the colonising Europeans, by means particularly of the bias of the education they provided, groomed Africans to be servants and consumers in a world where white men were the overlords. Colonization then paved way for Globalization which only benefits the capitalists whom are obvious the Westerns. Today Africans are better slaves in their own land.

The result was that African countries were gripped by impossible debts to foreign regimes, and at the same time ruled by tyrants from among their own people who in many cases were supported by those same foreign regimes. As the rulers took control of the honey pot of the natural resources and forced their countrymen into poverty, the seeds of civil war were sown.

Poverty in Africa

Africa is a continent with plenty of natural resources. Yet it is battered by hunger, diseases, massive underdevelopment and all sorts of countless sufferings. The United Nations children's agency revealed that more than half of South Africa children live in poverty. Two thirds of child deaths were preventable with simple improvements in primary care for children.

The causes of poverty in Africa are deeply-rooted, interconnected and impossible. Africa encompasses some of the most resource-rich areas of the planet. Africa would, in fact, be capable of sustaining her economies and even giving aid to other parts of the world. However, a history of injustice set in motion a vicious circle of lack of resources to pay for education, and lack of education to produce and refine resources. This is compounded by devastating health problems, climate difficulties and economically advanced nations from the West which make sure that Africa does not sustain herself.

Judging this beautiful continent from its resources, one would expect to see its people cruising in an age of high mass consumption. Instead, Africa is full of people still struggling with their take off process.

Elephant in a Room

"Struggle to survive"
http://lifeinafrica.org/tag/poverty-in-Africa
An Elephant in a room can be base on the fact that an elephant in a room would be impossible to overlook. Therefore, people in the room can never pretend the elephant is not there as it is huge enough for everyone to notice it. For example; poverty in Africa is visible for everyone whether you stay in suburbs or in the rural areas.

Elephant in a room applies to the obvious truth that is being ignored. For decades Western leaders were in denial of the sufferings of Africans. They refuse to acknowledge the obvious truth that they perpetuated this situation in Africa. However, the denial of poverty is not a fairy tail, the elephant in the room shed light on the political underpinning of silence and denial of visible things. Today leaders through United Nations come together to find ways of alleviating poverty in Africa.

Poverty cannot be denied anymore, it is wide enough for everyone to see. People are dying of starvation everyday and some live in informal settlements. In every 5 kilometres you drive in Africa signs of poverty are there, the elephant is in the room.

Money and Power

"On top of the world"
https://www.google.co.za/search?q=mone
A big shift of wealth is taking place right now and most people will never see one dime of it. This is by design, the vast majority of power brokers do not want people to see beyond their television sets.

Rich people or those who have great wealth wish to keep all of the things that money affords them. However, if you think the rich and powerful want money, then you are sadly mistaken. To them money is only an idea. It is only a tool that, when used properly, can give you the ability to do many things. Money gives you the options that are available to most people on this planet. Try building a house without money, as soon as you explain to the builders that they have to work for free, you will see them one by one turning their backs as they walk back home, cursing and insulting.

You see, the economically elite among us understand that true power comes from the ability to get things done. Simultaneously, the common motivator of people is money. Money is in its form, is more than the ability to get things done. The more money you have access to, the more things you can accomplish.

Every day is a good day

To those that have money everyday is a great day. It is believed that money is power thus it is the answer to all problems in this lifetime. With money you can do what ever you want and at any time you want to. You can buy a Rolls Royce car in a split second. Likewise with animals the ones that have power, have it all. To them everyday is a good day.

The expression everyday is a good day means that we are indeed living our lives fully. The world is neither good nor bad. It is sorely our relationship to it that makes it either one or the other. However, even if its a bad day, its a good day in God's grace. Every situation good or bad is made by the almighty God for us to appreciate, learn and grow. Even if the world sometimes its a living hell, but still it is a lovely land of beauty and purity.

If we can approach whatever life brings us with the mind free from greed, and delusion or accept things as they are without grasping for more, we can result to being at peace with ourselves thus see everyday as a good day.

Comparison

"body comparison"
Comparison is where a lot of people lose it. People like to compare their own experience with other people’s situations. People believe that what happened to Sam and worked for him should work for them. Let me make this loud and clear, it is a false statement. If one would be truly honest with one’s self, you would find that how Sam dealt with that same experience would not be the same way Tim would go about solving it.

Everyone is unique in every possible way any one can imagine. When God created man, he never made a duplicate of another person. This means that one should stick to what one believes is right for him or her because when one knows, one knows that it will work for him or her if solved your way. Stop comparing and start dealing with challenges or situations your way.

Your greatest strength is your greatest weakness.

"your fitness can be your weakness"
Your greatest strength is your greatest weakness. Your greatest weakness is your greatest strength. I believe this concept is so powerful it requires no active participation, no recognition. Some see it; some don’t strength and weakness, life and death, good and bad – one does not exist with the other. They are the same thing. I take things a step further “all things exist within all things”.

My greatest strength is creativity thus I am an extremely creative person. For the most part that's great. I have received much complements in life because of my creativity. However, as with most very creative people, I am a messy. I am so involved in "creating" that I don't focus on little things like putting things away in the right place and other "messy" behaviors.

Every trait you can think of that a person can have, can become out of balance if used the wrong way. Every trait can be both good and bad, depending on how you use it. Most of us use our traits both ways at different times. So next time you find yourself annoyed at someone for one of his or her traits, take the time to look for the other side of that trait.

Your greatest strength makes you interesting and useful. So use it, follow it , leverage it for the good of others.
