Today signify the end of my 2012 academic year. Finally, I am done and dusted with all school work and whats next?

Indeed its not an easy question to answer considering that Professor Narvan Bachan has already denied me an opportunity to further my education (pursue M-Tech) due to lack of two years full time work experience in the same field. Then whats next? I seriously have no idea. Its true I can never go back and change what has been said and done but I can always learn the lesson to make things better next time.  My plan was to stay in Cape Town for two or more years but this has ruined all my plans, I have to move on, probably its for the best. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. However, I haven't lost hope yet. I still believe that I will register with this institution next year. On the other hand, I have already contacted other institutions and they are willing to enrol me, but moving to another province will drain me financially and psychological.

Furthermore, I'm please with my stay in Cape Town, I have gained strength, courage and confidence thus am proud to say "I can handle the next thing that come along eloquently." Anyways, God is the greatest planner, I just implement his ideas. Consequently, I'm looking forward to the next challenge.

Apologizing

At times there may arise a situation when our actions may hurt the feelings of our beloved ones. But as fast as we realize our mistakes we take the initiative to correct the situation and win their heart back. Apologising is something we do because we care about the other person's feelings.

An apology is the super glue of life. It can repair just about anything. Sometimes we may say or do things that we don't intent to. Our behaviours sometimes may not find the consent of our loved ones. These can lead to rifts within relationships. If you feel that what you have done isn't right and unknowingly have the feelings of your closed one then swallow your pride and seek apology. However, never apologize for something you didn't do wrong. Never apologise just to make the second person happy. An apology must convey your heart felt remorse.

At times we are too proud to recognise our mistakes or too afraid to accept our faults. But not apologising can cause us lose the precious relation. Don’t hesitate to ask forgiveness when you are sorry. Say it with an apology messages. Just pour your heart out on it and if the person loves you he/she will understand your feelings and accept your apology.

There are some things in life that may come easy but most things worth having or achieving will only come with dedication and tenacity to get it. My educational achievement for year 2012 did not come easy I may say. It was a combined effort of myself, my family, lecturers, colleagues and friends.

Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all who supported me through out the year more especially, His Majesty King Mswati III for his continued financial support. My beloved aunt Her Royal Highness Princess Kwatiwako, my mother Sbonisiwe Mngomezulu for making sure that I have all I need to pursue my education endeavour. I cannot forget my younger sister Nonkululeko for her continues support and checking on me during my first months in Cape Town. My last lecture is simple. I guess looking back at my past articles you might already know what am going to talk about, 'Life'. love life, it is important, it is valuable, like diamond and gold.

I wish I had so much space and time to write about this but as a simple person I will rap it like this. Don't be afraid to be who you are. Don't keep yourself from expressing love, Kindness, and patience. Don't cut yourself from the things that nourish your soul. Live in the spirit of life. There are no wall to keep you captive. You are as beautiful as you choose to be. Never let anyone undermine your intelligence, we are all equally intelligent in different ways. Furthermore, make use of the resource that are at you disposal to create a better future  for yourself and the country as well. Remember no good life can be lead without some bad days too. However, an idle mind is a devil's playground and all that is reality was once but a dream. Thus think good and practise right.

My last words would be to encourage you to love the Lord with all your heart, soul and body. Make use of all you have to create a better relationship with your creator.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

 


"Year of direction"

If I did not know how old I am, then I will be the same age as I am now. What can change that? A number doesn't change anything but the years spent on earth determine how old I am, whether I have an idea or not, I will still be the same age. For Example, lets say I'm 26 years old but I don't know. I will still be the same age.

If I had never know my age, it wouldn't matter or be an important thing to me. I will be enjoying life and forgetting about the responsibility that the people would have expected from me. Sometime the community expect you to behave differently when you are old but they are not always consistent with their expectations. For example; when a rich old man behaves like a 7 year old kid, they assume he is right. On the other hand when a poor person act the same way, they persecute him. Consequently, I would behave in a way that I feel is right at that particular time. However, by this time I would assume I'm about to reach 35 years old. looking at things ,I have already completed my B-tech degree and soon to enrol for my M-tech, then straight to work. By 35 years I would have expected the best of my living days, like having a family, good job and very much independent.

After all if I did not know my age, I would look at other people of the same sex and of known age and compare myself with them.

My side of the story



"car beyond repairs"

I believe its time I tell my side of the story.  I have waited so many years to tell my side of the story. In 2007 when I got the car accident the media in Swaziland wrote so many things and family members saying what ever pleases themselves. Today, for the first time I break the ice.

Indeed I can not justify myself in the accident. Fair enough accidents do happen to everyone. Once you behind the steering wheel anything is possible, mark my words. Unfortunately on my side I was caught into the dellima of drinking and driving as I was intoxicated, certainly not drunk because I took only few glasses of wine. Furthermore did not stop in a police roadblock. The last time I checked the speed meter I was driving between 90 and 100 km/h.  Consequently, one kilometre from the roadblock I lost control of the car while trying to overtake a red sedan in a corner. Actually, I run ontop of bumpy barriers which hit hard the left tire and it busted that when I lost control of the car thus hitting the guard rails and overturned.

I swear by the Almighty God that anything more than what I have written today is a lie. You can say what ever you want to say and believe what ever you want to believe but this is the truth. However, I am very disappointed at my family because they all choose to listen to the media except my brother.  Life goes on. I will continue to live my life to the fullest without any regreats and may the almighty guide and protect me.

Be a dreamer

Don’t hesitate to dream. Be a dreamer who dream big, a dreamer who do and make the big dreams come true.

A dreamer looks beyond the limits today to the possibilities of tomorrow and sees what can be instead of setting what it is. Learn beyond the lecture and classroom. A dreamer imagines the most wonderful things, and then finds a way to make them real. It’s not how you pass the exam, not even the grade you get. It’s how you learn the lesson,  getting it right and applicable to yourself for life.

Treasure and cherish every moment you have. Like a long roller coaster ride, our life goes one way and there’s no turning back. From infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Each stage has its own high and low points. Be it good, be it bad, just enjoy the thrilling roller coaster ride cause you might not have a second chance to ride this long roller coaster.

The last enemy to be distroyed is death

People don't understand the good things that the Lord does. They don't see the good things God does, no, they don't understand. they destroy the good that God does. Thus my brothers and sister if you love to listen you will gain knowledge, and if you incline your ear you will become wise.

I tell you today, flesh and blood ( a physical body) can not have a part in the kingdom of God. A thing that will ruin cannot have a place in something that never ruins. And this body that dies will clothe itself with that which never dies. (then the scripture will be made true).

Death's power to hurt is sin and the power of sin is the law, but we thank the Lord!!!! He gave us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I conclude by warning you that don't let evil people lead you away by the wrong things they do. Be careful so that you will not fall from your strong faith, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

 If presented with an opportunity to get a message to a group of people, the message would be to tell the people to honour the Lord, God with their soul , mind and body. The lord made the heavens and everything in them by his word. Further, he created a human being for one reason to serve and worship him and only him.

 Today people brag about loving the Almighty God but their deeds tell a different story. They go o church, sing as if somebody is dying, pray like never before but all they do is just to show off. They have no respect of the Lord. People don't tell the truth. They are liars that twist the truth. They are living a lie, their life is a lie without saying a word.   However, some go to church because they enjoy being there or they are forced to go there, they have no knowledge of the almighty God.

I tell you honour the Lord, your God by work and deed and blessings from him shall come upone you.

I think, happiness lies in living a plain life within one's own means. If you follow the dictum 'cut you coat according to your cloth' and live within your own means, you will not need to trouble your head to get a loan of money or to pay back loan. Besides, you will not be a parasite or a dependant on others and your free mind will bring you immense happiness.

Happiness lies not only in the life of plain living but also in the life of high thinking. So, a saying goes on 'plain living and high thinking'. If you live a life of high thinking the trifling worldly troubles will not disturb your mind. With your high mindedness and broad heartedness you will be able to excuse your small complaints and thereby you will be free from a lot of troubles. High-mindedness depends on plain living. If you do not be plain in your living you will fall in constant wants and you will become a self-seeker which will lead to low mindedness and meanness. So, in order to live a happy

Now, I point out a very important thing for keeping a happy life. That is you cannot live happily if your neighbours are unhappy and sad. So, my idea of happy life is that one should conduct in such a way and live in such a manner that his neighbours will not suffer in any way on one's account. you should not hurt them either in mind or in person or in property. Besides, you should sincerely try to alleviate their sorrow. Here lies the true sustenance of one's happy life. So, you should try to make others happy in order to live happy life for yourself.

 Within each of us is the embodiment of life. We live every day. Each of us has within our beings hopes and dreams. Within our souls we hold our values and our beliefs about the universe. And next to our hearts we hold our ideals and our passions. Like hundreds of thousands of candles shining in the darkness, we are one in ourselves and one together. Each of us is never quite as alone as we ever think we are. And by living everyday we find meaning in ourselves, meaning in our lives, and meaning in our hearts, however brief each of the flames burning in our souls shines in this vast symphony of stars.

On one level we simply are. On another we must also recognize that through living, we also make choices about who we will become. We touch others every day with our words, with our words, our actions, and with our joy and our grief. And they in turn touch our hearts in similar ways. The world isn't always perfect, but the choices we make are ours alone, based solidly upon our values and ideals. We may choose every day to be angels, granting wishes, helping those in need, caring, and inspiring others with our words, with our passions, with our hopes and our dreams. We may believe however we wish about the universe- whether God created man or man created God- the choices we make every day are still ours.

We are each one flame among billions, each blessed with the greatest gift of all, the freedom to choose. Life is all about choices, touching others, and being touched by the acts of others each day. It's about who we really are. It's about finding our true selves and being honest about what we feel and what we believe every hour of each and every day.

What's Important?

We lose our way from time to time when we forget whats important to us. We take so many things for granted and concentrate so much on the ownership of things that seems to have importance one moment, suddenly loses its luster the next.

We have become a culture seeking fulfilment in physical things and tangibles that often we overlook the everyday gifts that bring us the greatest joys, simple pleasures, clean air, beautiful bird songs and so on. The world breathes onto us, and each of us breathes onto the world. Life, happiness and passion are wound around the essence of our beings. We are what we value and what we believe of ourselves. We are capable of as much or as little as we lead our selves to believe. We have the gift of free will to decide each day and in grief a little of us dies every day. But like the surf rolling across the beach of time, the sands of life are replenished with each stroke of the tide. Nature always returns what she takes away.

Never forget where you come from. Never lose sights of where you are and always look forward to where you want to go to chart your course over the great oceans of life. Some will navigate by the stars, some by the charts, and others by the winds. Focus on whats important to you.

Life is a series of choices, it is too short if you choose the wrong way. Life has taught me that we make mistakes and our greatest mistake is not learning from our past mistakes. No doubt, life is beautiful but one should be always ready to face adversity and challanges. A person who has not encounted difficulties in life can never achieve success. Therefore, life is and should not be a bed of roses; thorns are also a part of it and should be accepted by us as we accept the beautiful side of life.

The thorns remind one of how success and happiness can be evasive and thus not to feel disappointed and disheartened rather remember that the pain of thorns is short-lived, and the beauty of life would soon overcome the prick of thorns.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

Living a single life

Living a single life at my age is not an easy thing. I tend to disappoint people who truly love and want to be with me for the rest of their lives.

Single life is a little lonely but it has one of the happiest times in my life. No arguments, no drama, no stress just pure happiness.  In fact, the single life is a warm breeze I can do my own thing , go as I please, date whoever, make no commitment, not worry about getting used to people, cheat on, lie on and no tears falling down my face because of someone. Most importantly I can work on myself and goals independently. However being single can be torched and depression sometimes, if  looking for sexual one night stand or friends with benefits I have to arrange that while still time and make sure the partner knows what the story of the night.

Honestly speaking, I do not need to be loved, not at the cost of myself. The single relationship that is truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self. out of all people in a lifetime, I am the only one I can  never lose.

The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology or government. You realize that you control your own destiny. Never let your peers control your life. I know growing can be one of the stressful times in a young person's life. The changes you go through can be tough, especially when in adolescent stages. You become exposed to peer pressure or media which can make it difficult for a young adult to stay focus. However,  this world has no mercy, one mistake it swallow you forever. If you are lucky you get a second chance but very few people do get second chances.

Be true to yourself and remember where you come from. Try to learn from the past, but plan for the future by focusing exclusively on the present. You future is in your hands.

My beloved Mother

My mother is absolutely an amazing lady. She has Three children, I, as the first born and my two little sisters and she has done so much for each of us.

My mother is my inspiration and motivation. When I was down she picked me up, wiped my tears and showed me the way forward. Indeed she is a wonderful women, embedded in her heart is God's word. With her wisdom she teaches us that it is not the fastest runner that always win the race but time and a chance is a factor. With these words my mother doesn't favour anyone over the other, no matter if one does something great, while others just sit back and watch. All she believe in is that everything happens on its own time. Not that mom promotes laziness, she hates lazy people on the other hand she knows that no matter how much you try, if its not you time you will not succeed.

My mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

My family's role through my recovery process

God blessed me with 3 sisters and a brother. first Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princess Khombisile, Nonkululeko Mbelu and Nomcebo Mngomezulu and my one and only brother and best friend His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Mhawu Gordon. I dearly love my family. In times of need they were always there for me.

I remember after my car accident so many believe I will not rise again even one of my cousins had confidence to tell me on the face after the demise of our mother (not biological mother) " that we are left in the open like a goat's anus". She thought it was the end not realizing that it was just the beginning. (“Sometimes people do not realise that it takes the fall of the Kingdom to see Royalty bow down onto his/her knees”, said His Royal Highness Prince Sobandla). Through out my recovery, I counted on you for motivation. Sometimes I would feel pain when my sister Khombisile would tell be she drove all the way from Johannesburg just to see how I was recovering. My brother was always there next to me 24/7 in hospital and everywhere. I could see the pain in his eyes when he looked at me helplessly in that hospital bed. I guess he was asking "why him Lord?". but God is the best planner. I could write till morning when talking about my beloved brother. Coming to South Africa 2008, I meet my younger sister Nonkululeko. Oh my God what a supporting sister. Without complaining she nurtured and assisted me stand up, those were my last days of recovery. I remember when she could throw away some of my clothes because she couldn't wash them.. lol.. Oh! what a sister. Lastly, is my mother's last born Nomcebo , all i can say is that in every person there is goodness.

Indeed my beloved family played a magnificent role in ensuring that I recover and stand tall against my enemies. May the Almighty God bless them with peace and prosperity.

God's Message to me

It is true, I am not a saint neither can a human being on earth judge me. The truth is I love my God and he loves me too.

The reason am writing this article is to spread God message that he gave me one day. I was sleeping on my bed at home and God spoke to me. He open the book of wisdom on Isaiah 41:10 where it says " My son don't be afraid. I am with you. Don't tremble with fear . I am your God. I will make you strong as I protect you with my right arm and give you victories. Indeed I was in a mist at that time and the Lord opened my eyes. He then lead me outside of the house and told me, "my son look up in the sky". I looked, first thing I saw was the stars and he said "the stars are your signs that I am the living God, I was there before creation. Am the beginning and the end so worship me".

As I walk and face the world everyday, I know one thing that the Almighty God is my guider, my protector and my strength and my duty is to serve and worship him at all times.

Family

The family is heaven in the heartless world. It is composed of mother, father, brother, sister, cousins, grand children, grandparents, great grand parents and so on. You don't choose your family, they are God's gift to you, as you are to them. There is no such thing as a 'broken family'. Family is family, and it is not dertemined by marriage certificates, divorce papers and adoption documents. Families are made in the heart. The only time family becomes null is when those ties in the heart are cut. If you cut those ties, those people are not your family. If you make those ties, those people are your family. And if you hate those ties, those people will be your family because whatever you hate will be with you.

Other things may change us but we start and end with family and the strength of a family, like the strength of an army, is in its loyalty to each other.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness doesnt mean that you will forget the issue, its just acknowledging your differences and accepting that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes we should learn from. Forgiving isn't the easiest to do especially when you've endured a lot of hurt and pain but its the only way to let go and have peace. However, the weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

Forgiveness is the virture of the brave, it is the remission of sins. For it is by this that what has been lost, was found, is saved from being lost again.

Move on

Move on is just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book. Just turn the page. There is a point in life when you tired of chasing people. Its not giving up, it's realizing that you dont need certain people and their crap.

As I was writing the article some good word by Tupac Shakur came to light , he said " you can spend minutes , hours, days, weeks, or even months over analyzing a situation; trying to put pieces together, justifying what couldnt've happened or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on". letting go doesnt mean you dont care about someone anymore. It is just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself. On the other hand, even though you may want to move on in your life, you may find that you have one foot on the brake. Inoder to be free, you need to learn how to let go. Release the hurt, release the fear and  refuse to entertain your old pain.

Cry. Forgive. Learn and move on. let your tears water the seeds of your future hapiness. Indeed true strength is being matured enough to walk away from nonsence with your head held high.

Let today be the day you stop being haunted by the ghost of yesterday. Holding a grudge and harboring anger or resentment is poison to the soul. Holding grudges is leting someone live rent free in your head.

Sometimes we are exposed to experiances so painful that they leave marks that are difficult to heal especially if we feel someone has wronged us. A natural response may be to develop a grudge or even hatred of the person who has caused us pain. But the person who holds the grudge always suffers more. I tell you "do not live your life with hate in your heart. You will end up hurting yourself more than the people you hate." Forgiveness is not just a saying. It is giving up the resentment to which you are entitled and offering to the person who hurt your friendlier attitudes to which they are not entitled.  It is probably one of the hardest, yet most rewarding gift to give someone you love. However, some wounds run too deep for the healing but still, never let what somebody did to you ruin your hapiness forever. A life without forgivess is prison.

Let go, find peace, liberate yourself and remember, forgiveness is not just for other people, its for you too. Holding gruges helps no one but hinders your progress. No matter how right you may think you are, forgive and forget and the Lord's blessings shall befall unto you.

In general, there are three sides of  a story: your side of a story, my side of a story and the side of the truth and most of the time everybody is trying to pull the side of the truth in his or her favour but the truth is standing right there by itself. However, It is good to be in possession of the truth because you gain trust from other people.On the other hand it is dangerous to have the truth in your possession, you can be found guilty and be sentenced to death.

The truth is genuine at all times, you can go all the four spheres of the earth and the truth will still be the same. Moreover it is revolutional.

Of all forms of courage the ability to laugh is the most because it doens't just make you feel better, it combats pain, and cures a multitude of ills. It is probably the most important thing in a person.

laughter has been shown to lead to reduction in stress hormones such as cortisol. When laughing the brain also releases endorphins that can release some physical pain. Laghter also boosts the number of antibody- producing cells and enhances the effectiveness of T-cells, leading to a stronger immune system. However, only genuine laughter does the trick. If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane.

Indeed life is worth living as long as there is a laugh in it. Khalil Gibran once said 'in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."

Life today is too fast. Children no longer enjoy their childhood but rush to do things normally known as adult things. The statute of limitations has expired of our childhood trauma. Children are never ashamed of cuddling and kissing their boy lovers in public places and still be regarded as a normal behaviour.

Many children today engage in sexual behaviours and show sexual interest throughout their entire childhood, even through they have not yet reached puberty. children engage in a variety of age-inappropriate sexual behaviours or relationships that include excessive sexual play, inappropriate sexual comments or gestures, mutual sexual activity with other children.  Some children even introduce their lovers to parents and often be regarded as normal. However, these sexual behaviours affects the growth of a child as some get pregnant and find themselves being immature mothers and fathers. On most women these sexualisation results in a negative self image, degradation and health development.

What was regarded as abnormal yesterday, today it is normal and these statute limitations has expired most of our childhood trauma but with severe consequences.

This statement  'only bad things happens quickly' reminds me of my days of trouble. Everything happened so fast, I couldn't believe it when the storm was over but I am glad that after everything I still don't let life pass by me.

Year 2007 was the most troubling year for me , I got a car accident, lost my car and  business, and eventually my step mother passed away while I was still nursing my injuries. It was never easy but trouble was already in the house, there was no way out and I could see all my hard work varnishing slowly but surely. However, when there is darkness, you live with hope that soon there would be light. That's what kept me going till today where I can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

I have seen everything in this life time and one thing is certain. When the bad things are over you don't come out the same person who walked in.

Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid

God help those who help themselves. Therefore it is important that one gain confidence in order to succeed this universe. Being confident in yourself  brings success and others will want to follow in your foot steps towards success. 

If you become bold and put yourself in-charge of  your own life and make the best of every situation and experience, you will attract more luck. Life will never go your way unless u become bold, until you drive and not be driven. However, avoiding danger is not safe in the long run than the outright exposure. The fearful are as caught as often as the bold.

 In-order to make a difference, an individual needs to be bold. The vehicle of change is boldness and luck will fall on your path. 

Respect yourself

When you doubt yourself, others will doubt you. When you believe in yourself in time with others will believe in you. This means setting up boundaries where others need to respect your choices and step back. Know your value so that people can respect your worth.

Respect is honoring the worth or dignity in a person or process when we respect others., we take their preferences and ideas seriously. Respect is a virtue of the noble, great people climbed the ladder of success when they shared their ego and embrace humility. This always reminds me of my father's last words before leaving this earth. He called us and said " My children, My time with you is over but I am leaving you with respect, it a key that will open doors to success." On the other hand only respect those who show you respect. Don't take nonsense from anyone. Never give pearls to pigs cause they will only step on them. People have a tendency of taking for-granted those who show them respect. respecting yourself does not mean being a papet for everybody. Have limits. 

Remember each person sees the world only as they can see it. This doesn't mean they are right or better or smarter than you, they are just different, with their set of values, believes and life experiences. Respect this in return.Make it your ambition to lead a quite life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands so your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read.

 Rock journalism is criticism and reportage about rock music. In the real of rock music critics have not always been respected by their subjects, such that it was declared that rock journalism is people who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, for people who can't read.

This signify that rock journalism is suitable for all human species. With the availability of social network sites everybody has become a journalist. Journalist have the task of gaining people's attention around relevant information and finding meaning amidst the information jungle. Thus rock journalist inform all sorts of people and in their state of condition. However, rock journalist forget being fan boy, they forget to ask what people want to know, and talk about music as if its civil disobedience.

Once in a while every journalist need to get their heads out of the press release and actually go and watch a band play in a new venue and see something new. Furthermore, rock critics regard rock as normative, the standard state of popular music to which everything else is compared.

I know waiting isn’t easy. We’re taught to expect instant gratification. We’re told we shouldn’t have to wait for anything. Too often we act on feelings or impulses, sacrificing the future by buying into the lie that sex equals love, leaving little room for commitment or marriage. But that’s not love and that’s not  reason for waiting.

I need you to know that what matters is not where you’ve been or what you’ve done, but where you’re going. More often we meet new people everyday and believe that we’d found each other, only to realize later that what you discovered wasn’t true love. Real love is so different from infatuation or simple pleasure. It isn’t abusive or selfish or purely physical. Real love involves mutual respect, affection, trust, equality, and a shared spirituality. Real love doesn’t revolve around sex! Real love grows into a relationship where sexual intimacy will only serve to express that love. 

Furthermore, sex before marriage brings many fears – pregnancy, STDs, the emotional scars associated with broken relationships. So, in the search for perfect love, it only makes sense to practice chastity and wait until you’re married to give yourself to the person you love.
