How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

"cautiously jumping from a 100-foot pole"
Taking a step from the top of a 100-foot pole require bravery. It can lead to your total destruction or sometimes it can help you start all over again. When you are at the top of the pole there is only one way available for you and it is going down. Whether you take one step at a time or you just jump, the destination is still the ground.

Stepping from 100-foot pole can mean to take a risk, moving from your comfort zone. If you don't take risks, then you don't live! That is what life is all about taking risks, trusting, falling and learning. However if you don't take risks you remain dead and one day when you get older and look back you'd say "wow what a waste of time." the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. People who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live. Changed by their attitudes, they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free.

Therefore it is okay to get into trouble once in a while. Have fun while you can. Take risks!! if you don't life might just pass you by!! Do something different in every chance you get even if it requires you to jump from the top of a 100-foot pole.

Are Eastern Cape pupils refugees in Western Cape?

Informal settlement -Western Cape refugee camp
Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Helen Zille publicly labelled  Eastern Cape pupils studying in Western Cape schools and universities 'refugees'. For many years Eastern Cape people flock to the Western Cape for various reasons like education.  They come to Western Cape to seek educational asylum.

For a better understanding of the article I will First define the word "refugee". According to Sono (2012) the word originates from Latin, Middle French and Middle English - "Refugium", meaning protection from danger or distress. Therefore, "refuge"is a home for destitute or in distress people. furthermore, The term "refugee" is often used to include displaced people who may fall outside their country (place) of origin.

With the above definition there is nothing wrong calling people from other provinces refugees because when they are in another province they are not in their place of origin. Thus Western Cape becomes home for them during their time of displacement, provides them shelter and equip them with quality education which they cannot get in their home of origin. However, in a country like South Africa which has diverse cultures and with an apartheid background, it is unwelcome to label pupils from another race with such a word as it restarts healed wounds.

Concurrently, it is also politically  an insult calling people from the same country even if they are from different provinces refugees. for a fact, South Africa belongs to all South Africans whether Black or White, Indian or Coloured they share the same sentiments for the country. Estern Cape pupils can never be refugees in Western Cape. Its their home Town too.

we are what we do

"they are liers"
What we do in our daily lives signify who we really are. They determine whether you are a good person or a bad one. If you lie, you are a liar, if you rape people, you are a rapist and if accept bribes you are corrupt that’s it. For example Jackie Selebi was a commissioner of police; he was responsible for the security of the state. Concurrently he was doing dirty staff underneath, eventually he was caught and tried in the court of law and was found guilty thus proved that the man was corrupt. Fate says he was what he did.
Sometimes people do things because of their personality behaviors and attitudes. They return a lost phone because they are honest; they recycle their waste because they care about the environment. However, some return a lost phone because they want to be perceived differently or to build their image. At times people do things they don’t want to do. Some give out money to the poor and that does not mean that they are generous but they are hiding their evil deeds.
There is a Greek saying that says “nothing is hidden under the shadow of the sun” which means whatever is done in secrete or we think we do in secrete would come out to be revealed in public for other eyes to witness what we really are. Then when the truth comes out it will tell that we are what we do.

Flirting and sexual harassment

Flirting is a playful romantic or sexual approach whereas sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances. Flirting is a natural process to be enjoyed with mutual consent but not at the cost of others. Flirting is fine as long as it is healthy, complementary and reciprocal. For example, woman wake up in the morning wash then spend hours in the mirror for the male species to appreciate that beauty.
" flirting at work"
People flirt for various reasons. Flirting can indicate an interest in deep personal relationship with another person. Some people flirt for fun, with no intention of developing any further relationship. However, there is a thin line between flirting and sexual harassment. Anytime a flirtation is unwelcome and undesirable, when it begins motivating people uncomfortable it has crossed the line into harassment. Sometimes the harassers may not be aware of their behaviour as offensive or constitutes sexual harassment. In other times, misunderstanding in communication can be treated as sexual harassment.

Concurrently, sexual harassment is cultural and contextual. What is treated as a good behaviour might be treated as bad behaviour in other cultures. Sexual harassment can also depends on the relationship between two people (man and woman). If the woman likes the man she might treat it as misbehaviour but if she dislikes the man she might call it sexual harassment. A third person uninvited will always misjudge the situation.

We are afraid of the wrong things

"boy punished after doing wrong"

We are afraid of the wrong things because people are punished for doing wrong. In the punishment system, we are held responsible for our actions by being punished for doing things that are wrong. For example a criminal is treated as being responsible for having done the things that are especially wrong such as murdering or stealing.

Being afraid of the wrong things can be linked with self- consciousness or fear for God. For example, if you steal  your self consciousness tells you that what you doing is wrong, unacceptable in the eyes of God. We know that if we persist doing wrong things we might result in jail, even die and  then face the hell of fire and damnation for the rest of eternity. Thus we have every reason to fear the things of the hellfire and damnation. Every human being is born afraid of the wrong things because in every person goodness is embedded, such that even hard core criminals freeze before doing something wrong. Before breaking into somebody's house or pull a trigger they freeze.

However, looking at things from both sides of the hand,  being afraid of the wrong things limit us from experiencing new things, it contain us into one straight forward way of living, 'a comfortable zone'.  The more we enjoy the comfort of our zone the less we productive and creative.

Furthermore, we are afraid of wrong things for good and bad reasons. Thus we must evaluate our reasons before considering doing anything.

The biggest mistake that man take

"Playing Mr cool"

The biggest mistake that men make is that they put women on a pedestal and treat them like they're queens. For example, man date woman in first class restuarants which they have never been.
Women have flaws, just like men do, and when you treat them like some perfect goddess they will take advantage of you because they know themselves that they're not perfect so in their minds any guy that treats them like they're perfect is obviously weak and lacks confidence so they will take advantage of such guys by walking all over them. It's best to love a woman but also hate her a bit. The hatred that you feel towards her flaws will keep you from treating her like a goddess, which in turn will make her respect you more because she'll know that at any moment you could leave her for another woman, so she'll try hard to keep you with her, rather than if you treated her like a goddess; she'll think she has the upper hand.
However, spoiling your woman is a good practise but men must also consider playing it according to the rules  50/50. "You spoil me ,I spoil you."

Fish falling from the sky

Fish falling from the sky can described as unexpected help given to people by someone else. for Example; after the devastation earth quake in Haiti, the world came together and let fish fall from the sky for the suffered people. To let fish fall from the sky, the world including South Africa  provided all that was necessary to bring hope to the people. they provided food, shelter and further more America provided education for some citizens.

However, sometimes the most unbelievable things happen. For example fish literally falling from the sky in Singapore 1816. A scientific explanation for the phenomenon that involves waterspouts has been developed. Waterspouts are capable of capturing objects and animals (fish) and lifting them into the air, under this theory, waterspouts or tornadoes transport fish to relatively high attitudes, carrying them of large distances and allowing them to fall a concentrated localised area. More especially, some tornadoes can completely suck up a pond, letting water and fish to fall some distance away in a form of rain fish.

Moreover fish falling from the sky is a widely practised phenomenon in Africa. With the practise of 'ubuthu' humanity and Corporate Social Investments (CSI) people often get help when they lest expect it.

The way you were raised dertimines the future.

Our future is determined by the environment we grew under. This is because everything we attract in our life is based on our beliefs. Our beliefs create repetitive patterns. If we don't believe we are worthy, then we will continue to attract situations in our life that reinforces our belief about not being worthy. If on the other hand we believe that we are successful and attractive, then we will continue to attract experiences in our life that reinforces our belief about our beauty and achievements.

However, its not about how we grew up,  how much luck we have, or how many degrees we have.We have the mind, we know what's wrong and right and ultimately determine our future.  No matter the obstacles  in the way we were raised, determination and a passion to do better will always help us overcome the repetitive patterns more especially if they are bad. For example; A 43 year old homeless man of Cape Town, Stephen who was handling sangoma pamphlets for only R50.00 a day became Benz model. The man used to sleep in the streets since childhood and after his lucky break, he became R10 000.00 rich. Stephen proudly said "from something negative, we always tend to get an even better positive outcome."

In reality, we cant escape or ignore the way we were raised: we can't get around it, we can't go over it, we can't go under it, it always follows us like a shadow. Simultaneously, We always have one choice and one choice only: It is to deal with the details accordingly.

What is the color of the wind?

The color of the wind is determined by the environment. It is dynamic, it changes with time and thoughts.  It can mean many things in life, the places we go to, what we feel, see and hear or our way of living. For example; if you are in a funeral the color of the wind might be black, not literally black but determining the situation that the people are mourning and in pain.

Traditionally, in life, the color of the wind can also mean our different cultures. The colors of the wind represents the all various cultures of the world. Just like the world does not consist of one culture, likewise, the wind is not made up of only one color too. if we can all respect one another's culture, we can all get along and share the love, the mountains, the animals, the fields, and  the trees all is field with life and linked together in the circle of life.

The colour of wind varies, it is never the same and as long as you live under the shadow of the sun  you have to learn  and adapt to all colors of the wind.
